FILMING OF OPERAS
Actors and Singers to Co-operate New York, May 6. William De Mille. director, announced that he was planning a cinema production of famous operas with motion picture stars playing Hie leading parts, while noted operatic stars sing Hie score but do not' appear on the screen.
It is said that Laurence Tibbet and Geraldine Fttrrer and others agreed that it was impossible simultaneously to concentrate on tlie necessary histrionics and operatic roles. It was indicated, however, that they wore willing to sing the parts for others.'
