Negligence Charge Fails By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, May 7. The Supreme Court sessions opened to-day before Mr. Justice Kennedy, who commented on the absence of crime involving dishonesty and of sexual cases. John Kirk, a carrier, of Gore, was charged with negligently driving a motor-lorry at Otikerania on April 11 and causing the death of Alexander Sharp. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty, and accused was discharged.
