MONEY FOR HOSPITAL
Generous Anonymous Gift (British Official Wireless.) (Received May 6. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, May 4. An anonymous benefactor of St Mary's Hospital. Paddington, lias made himself liable for gifts totalling £105,000. Already he has given £55,000 to the hospital, and he has promised in addition to double every pound received from the public up to £50,000. The Duke of York, in announcing this offer last night, said that neither be nor Ids wife, who is president of tlie hospital, knew the name of the donor. The only person aware of his identity was the chairman of the board of governors.
