The purse was 4190 dollars, bringing his total earnings to 332,900 dollars, slightly in excess of Phar Lap’s total, and within striking distance of Sun Beau's all-time record of 370,744 dollars. Mr. Alfred Vanderbilts Discovery was second and Agrarian was third. The time was 2.04 for the mile and a quarter. The winner earned 28,1 o dollars. Sixty thousand witnessed the race. Lord Woolavington has brought the French colt Easten, which ran second in the Two Thousand Guineas, and which is engaged in the Derby. It is rumored that the price was 10,000 guineas.
