JURY LISTS APPROVED

7000 Names on Wellington Roll The new jury lists, the European containing 6962 names, and the Maori 26 names, for tlie jury district of Wellington. were revised and adopted at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Justices of the peace were requested by public notice to be present. Mr. IV. H. Lloyd presided, and there were also on the bench Messrs. W. M. Wright. G. A. Osborne. A. D. Kennedy. W. 11. Denton, and M. W. Thcw. Another justice, Mr. U. McCabe, was present in court.

Tlie jury officer. Mr. F. Knight, asked if there were any objections to names being included in the list. Counsel for one objector said that his client claimed exemption under section 101 of the Defence Act. 1909. After perusing the lists produced by Sub-Inspector J, Lander. counsel said that if the names were in strict alphabetical order his client’s name had not been included, and he would withdraw the objection. Mr. Lloyd then declared U’e jury lists duly revised and allowed. Mind tlie justices appended their signatures. AUCKLAND JURY PANEL By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland. April 6. For the next criminal session of the Supreme Court in Auckland, which is to open in May, a jury panel of over 300 names has been drawn. This makes provision for a session of lour weeks.
