Three Programmes Arranged Carillon recitals arc to be given by Miss Gladys Watkins this evening, to-morrow evening, and on Monday evening. This evening’s' recital, to open at 8 p.m., recalls' that the New Zealand Mounted Rifles crossed the Jordan for a raid on Amman (1918), and is as follows: —The ‘.‘Whittington” chimes; “The Manly Heart” (Barker) ; “Shenandoah" (a seachanty) ; “Massa’s in the Cold, Cold Ground”; “The Vicar of Bray” (English 17th Century) ; "She is Far from the Land” (Lambert); Andante Cantabile (Jef Denyn) ; “E Pari Ra” (Maori song of parting); “Hame, Hame, Hamel”; the bell “Palestine” (sounded eight times) : and . National Anthem. Sunday’s programme, to open at 8.30 p.m., is as follows: — Half-hour chime; hymn, "Onward, Christian Soldiers”; "Hine e Hine.” _ a slumber-song (Princess To Rangi Pai) ; "Cherry Ripe”; “Che Faro” from “Orfeo” (Gluck) ; “Sweet and Low” (Barnby) ; hymn, “Lo, Ho Comes”; “Sweet Genevieve”; Barcarolle from “Talcs of Hoffmann” (Offenbach); “The Bells of St. Michael’s Tower” (Knyvctt); National Anthem. At 8 p.m. on Monday the programme is dedicated in memory of the first battle of Gaza (1917).
