Misty Conditions in Wellington The weather in Wellington was misty nil day yesterday, with a cool southeast breeze. The temperature at 4 p.m. was 55.1 degrees, and the maximum (luring the (lay 55.2 degrees. There was a continuation of fine weather at Palmerston North yesterday, when there was bright sunshine and a cloudless blue sky. Overcast conditions, with rain threatening, were experienced at Masterton. A cool southerly breeze blew throughout tlie day. A warm, pleasant day was experienced in Wanganui yesterday. There was plenty of sun and little wind. A moderate freshening north-east wind prevailed at Auckland, tlie sky being cloudy and threatening after midday. The barometer continued high and steady. The weather was fine but cloudy at Christchurch, and the wind was light and variable. The barometer was high and steady, the reading last night being 30.56 in. The maximum temperaturd was 62. S degrees. Overcast and unsettled weather was experienced at Dunedin. Light showers fell in the early morning, and a light north-east wind was blowing. The maximum temperature was 55 degrees. Tlie barometer was exceptionally high, registering 30.72 at midday.
