FERRY SERVICES
Sailings at Easter Special sailings have been arranged for Easter in the Nelson and Pieton ferry services, to cater for the needs of travellers during the holidays. For the Wellington-Lyttelton service the usual time-table will be run, the Rangatira and Wahine leaving Wellington and Lyttelton at the customary times each day. In the Wellington-Nelson service, the Matangi will leave Wellington at 7.30 ' p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, for Nelson. She will make a daylight trip back to Wellington the following day, and there will be two steamers, the Arahura at 1.15 p.m. and the Matangi at 9.30 p.m., that day from Wellington. The Arahura will leave Nelson again at 9.45 p.m. that day for Wellington, arriving back here on the morning of Good Friday. There will be no sailing from either Wellington or Nelson on Good Friday. On the Saturday the usual sailings will be made, but on Easter Monday the Matangi from Wellington and the Arahura from Nelson will both sail at midnight. Thereafter the normal time-table will be maintained. The Tamablue. in the WellingtonPieton service, will leave Wellington on Wednesday, March 28. at 2.45 p.m., and will leave Picton again at 9 p.m that day for Wellington. Her running for the next few days will be as follows: — Leave Wellington: Thursday, March 29, 6 p.m.: Saturday, March 31, 1.15 p.m.; Monday, April 2, midnight; Wednesday, April 4. 2.45 p.m. Leave Picton: Thursday, March 29, 11 p.m.; Sunday, April 1, 6 p.m.; Tuesday, April 3, 6 p.m.; Thursday, April 5, 2.45 p.m. The Tamahlne will then revert to her winter running, leaving Wellington on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 2.45 p.m.. and Pieton on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 2.45 p.m Provided the weather is suitable, the Rangatira will make a daylight excursion to Pieton on Easter Monday, leaving Wellington at 8 a.m. and arriving back about 5.10 p.m.
The Monowai will leave Melbourne on Wednesday, March 28. and Sydnev on the Saturday, for Wellington, arriving here on April 3. and leaving again tlie following day for Auckland. Tne Marania will return to Wellington on Good Friday from a cruise to Marlborough Sounds, and will leave the following day for Sydney. 1
