FAMOUS POLICEWOMAN
Commandant Allen Sees Hitler (Reuter— Special to “The Dominion.’ > London, February 8. The most famous policewoman in the world—Commandant Mary Allen—is back in London after a hectic two days’ visit to Berlin, which she spent, interviewing Nazi chiefs. During her short visit she had a midnight interview with Hitler. And General Goering, head of the German Secret Police, told her that he was going to create a women’s police force in Germany. Commandant Allen went to Germany because she was very anxious about the wisdom of the Nazi “back-to-the-home” plan for women. Now she has returned reassured. “I know Germany, and I have never seen so united a people,” she told me when I interviewed her at Croydon airport on her return. "All the young women I saw seemed to be particularly happy. My interview with Herr Hitier began at midnight, and lasted half an hour. During that time we thoroughly discussed the position of women in the State, and he favoured the idea of establishing a women’s police force.
