RUGBY FINANCES

Loss on Year’s Working WAIRARAPA UNION Dominion Special Service. Masterton, March 17. “Consequent upon the difficult times through which the Dominion is passing, and also the fact that the standard of play did not reach a very high plane, carrying with it poor attendances of spectators at a number of games, the financial result of the year’s working, a lose of £45/7/3, must be considered satisfactory.” states the annual report, of the management committee of the Wairarapa Rugby Union. During the season the Rugby Union rules were amended to provide for representatives of the union being included on the Referees’ Appointment Board,
