BOXING & WRESTLING

Volunteers Against Navy Boxing and wrestling of a high standard for amateurs was witnessed by a large crowd last evening, when teams from the Royal Volunteer Reserve met a team from the cruisers. The reservists won most of the bouts, but they were all keenly contested, and it was apparent that there was some promising material iu both the teams. The referee was Sub-Lieutenant H. R. A. Kidston, R.N. Other officials were: Judges, Commande l- J. W. Farquhar. R.N., and Commander (E.) R. P. Chapman. R.N.; medical officer, Surgeon-Com-mander J. W. Tighe, R.N.; master of ceremonies, Loailing-Seaman G. Smith; wrestling referee, Police-Constable Wright. Detailed results of the events are as follow: — Boxing.
