YESTERDAY’S WEATHER
Sunshine and Northerly Wind Wellington had another fine, sunny day yesterday, but there was a moderate to fresh northerly wind blowing. The temperature at 4 p.m. was 62.6 degrees and the maximum recorded during the day was 68.4 degrees. Fine weather and a light southerly wind prevailed at Auckland, conditions being cloudy during the morning and sunny after midday. The weather was sunny and warm in Christchurch in the morning, when a light norfh-east wind was blowing. In the late afternoon the wind turned to the south-west and the sky became cloudy. The weather was again dull and threatening in Dunedin. Light showers fell in the early part of the morning. A moderate south-west wind was blowing and the maximum temperature was 58 degrees. The weather in Masterton was fine and warm, with a mild breeze blowing throughout the day. The weather was warm in Palmerston North with cloudy sky in the morning and sunshine in the afternoon. Fine weather was experienced in Wanganui. The day was sunny most of the time, with passing clouds. There was a fair westerly wind.
