Criminal Sessions Open on Monday LIST OF PERSONS CHARGED Ten persons will stand their trial at the first quarterly criminal sessions of 1934 whieh will open at the Supreme Court, Wellington, on Monday. Four of the cases are of a sexual nature, while one woman is charged with unlawfully using an instrument to procure a miscarriage. Two persons will appear on breaking and entering charges, one on a charge of theft, one on a charge of making a false declaration, and one on a charge of assault causing actual bodily harm. The calendar, which is somewhat lighter than usual, is as follows, the charges preferred being stated in each ease: — Horace John Algar, theft. Byron Maurice Bartley, unlawful carnal knowledge. Albert James Birchfield, making a false declaration. Ludwig Sigurd Larsen, breaking and entering and theft, breaking and entering with intent to commit a crime. Frederick Berger Clark, breaking and entering a dwelling house by day with intent to commit,a crime. * Julia May Ruddlesden, unlawfully using an instrument to procure a miscarriage. Waaka Taylor, unlawful carnal knowledge. Benjamin Kirkbridge, assault causing actual bodily harm. Alfred Bignold, indecent assault on a male (nine charges). Robert Donaldson, indecent assault on a female.
