Gigantic British Scheme IRON & STEEL INTERESTS (Received January 30, 7.55 p.m.). London, January 3(1. “The Dailv Telegraph” says that a vast rationalisation scheme for the iron and steel industry, probably the most far-reaching ever undertaken in Britain, has been submitted to the Tariff Advisory Board. It proposes to create im all-imlusive iron and steel federation for which a Royal Charter is to be sought. Thanks to the protective duty, pigiron production increased last year by 15 per cent, and steel by 30 per cent.
