Fight Ends in Under Ten Seconds PETERSON’S SUCCESS (Received January 30, 7.15 p.m.) London, January 30. Jack Peterson knocked out Charlie Smith at Deptford inside 10 seconds at Cardiff. The knock-out was the quickest on record for a heavyweight contest. Immediately the opponents shaped up Peterson sent a left to the mouth, fol lowed by a right to the jaw, whirling Smith round, for him to fall uuc luscious ou his face until the count ended.
