Burney—Fotheringham Another very fashionable wedding which attracted a large number of onlookers took place in Wellington yesterday afternoon, when N:mcy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T, P. Fotheringham. Central Terrace, was married to Stuart Greenwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Burney, of Sydney. The ceremony was performed at St. Mark's Church by Archdeacon A. M. Johnson, assisted by the vicar, the Rev. Noel Robertshaw, and the service was fully choral. The church was lavishly decorated with white St. Joseph lilies, which bordered the aisle at the pew-heads, and were arranged on the altar and chancl rails. The bride, who was given' away by. her father, wore a. lovely gown of oyster white satin, with long tight sleeves, deep square neck and a long train. The dress was almost covered by a wonderful veil of Limerick lace, which had been worn, by her, mother, and which was caught tightly over her fair hair with a wreath of St. .Joseph lilies. Over'this again a mass of filmy tulle was thrown, which billowed down, over the train, ant La. sheaf of the lilies was carried on her arm. Thd group of bridesmaids and small pages made a charming picture as they followed the bride and her , father up the long aisle. Their dresses were of white sheer crinkle crepe cut on straight lines in a Grecian design, with bouquets, and wreaths on their heads, of small delicate china flowers In every gav colour. They were linked together,~ pair to pair, by,ropes of natural flowers caught to the wrists of their long white gloves. The older bridesmaids were Miss Mary Ward, Miss Isabel McKenzie, Miss Marjorie Bennie, and Miss Nessie Craig. The three tiny girls, who were dressed exactly like the grown-ups, were Pam Morrall, June Piimmer, and Anne Plowden-Wardlaw. Two little boys, Leopoldo and Umberto Formichella, were the most attractive pages, and wore red satin trousers with white crinkle crepe blouses. The bridegroom’s presents, to the bridesmaids were around diamente clips. Mr.' Athol Lawson was best man, and Mr. Malcolm Bennie groomsman. The ushers were Mr. John Buckleton and Mr. Alan Reeve. After the ceremony a reception was held at 43 Central Terrace, where Mr. and Mrs. Fotheringham received several hundred guests. The house was a mass of flowers, the hall and staircase banked with Iceland poppies and roses, and in the drawing-room were more of the branches of St. Joseph lilies that had decorated the church. Mrs. Fotheringham wore a handsome? di'ess of black chiffon which touched the floor at the back, and had full puffed sleeves. Her wide picture hat was- of black Baku;straw trimmed with ospreys; she carried a bouquet of red roses, and a double, row of pearls at /her neck matched her long gloves. -

Mrs. Burney’s going-away suit was of oyster silk crash, made with a three- • quarter coat, and worn with a china, blue and white blouse, and shoes and hat, bag, and gloves, of crash.;, .
