. o Light Car Damaged PASSENGER INJURED By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, December 14. A narrow escape from serious injury was experienced by the occupants of a light motor-car which was struck broadside on by the Mount Eden fire engine to-night. The engine struck the car, driven by Lawrence Bishop, crushing in one side of the vehicle. Bishop escaped ’ with minor abrasions, but a passenger, Stanley Thomson, aged 28, married, was admitted to hospital suffering from head injuries. His condition is not serious.
