Jack Hulbert Again
ipHERE was a submarine in the upX per reaches of the Thames recently providing a sight to startle the pass-ers-by. However, it had no warlike intentions, and came not from the Admiralty’s building yards, but from the ingenious workshops of the GaumontBritish studios. Launched in a peaceful back-water, its next adventure will be a journey overland. It will have its first taste of salt water when the “Jack Ahoy” unit arrive at Weymouth, with this unusual piece of luggage, to complete scenes from the next Jack Hulbert picture, which Walter Forde is to direct.
