Unemployed Women & Girls
Excellent work is being carried out by the women’s unemployment committee in its rooms in Wakefield Street. There girls and women who are unemployed may find rest and even a little helpful employment, besides being put in the way of securing work as opportunities occur.
The committee has made arrangements to provide unemployed women and girls with meals free of any charge on five days of the week. This privilege also extends to girls who are earning 12/6 or less weekly. Arrangements are also being macle to provide a good dinner, a high tea, and an evening concert free for all. unemployed women and girls on Saturday, December 23.
