James Halpin, a New Plymouth boy who fractured both his forearms when he had a 15ft. drop from the Newton King wharf on to the rocks on Saturday morning, was unfortunate that the tide was out. Had the tide been in the sea Would have taken the force of the drop instead of the rocks, as happened. Dr. W. R. Wade attended the boy and sent him to New Plymouth Public Hospital, where X-ray examination ceffifirmed the extent of the damage. The boy’s injuries were attended and he later returned home.
