Clarke, and family, Pahiatua. are spending a holiday at Hamilton and Rotorua. » Mrs. B. E. Purcell and her two daughters returned by the Monowai after a three months' holiday in Australia. Mrs. Ronald Hatrlck. Wanganui, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. Dunean, “Otairl,” Hunterville. The Misses C. and M. Cameron, Cole Street, Masterton, were recent visitors to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. R.'Giblin have returned to Wanganui after a long stay at Rotorua. Miss Willis. England, who has been travelling extensively in the Pacific, is staying with her aunt, Mrs. A. D. Crawford. Miramar. Miss Olive Graham, wiio has been in Wellington for t.he past few months, has returned to her home, St. John’s Hill, Wanganui. ■ Captain and Mrs. W. A. Leggat, Glasgow, arrived by the Tainul on a visit to their relatives, Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Speedy,' “Awapiri.” Dannevirke. Signor and Signora Giovanni Formichella and their children will leave .tomorrow to spend the summer holidays at the Plateau, Te Mama. Mrs. Rankin, Invercargill, and her daughter, Mrs. Benrietts ; returned south during the week, after spending an extended holiday with Mr. and Mrs, Scott, Tinakori Road. , . Mrs. Eardiey Reynolds, Dunedin, and Mrs. Leslie Macfarlane, Christchurch, who came to Wellington for the Ben-son-Riehardson wedding, are staying at Croydon House, Hill Street. Mrs. L. H. Wood, Hobson Street, has gone, to Auckland to meet her mother, Mrs. Tweed, who arrives from England this week, and’is staying with her ‘sister, Mrs. Towle. ' . Miss Hutchinson, Vancouver, is the guest of her cousin, Mrs. Nowell Izard, Wanganui. Miss Hutchinson intends to .remain in New Zealand for some months. Miss Margie Loughnan., Hobson Street, will be a visitor to Hawke’s Bay for the wedding of Miss Beatrix Loughnan, which will, take place at Otane on Monday next. Among recent guests at Wanaka Hotel. Pembroke, were: Mr? and Mrs. David A. Aiken, Wellington: Mrs. G. M. Kermode, South Rhodesia: Misses K. and C. Courage and Mr. D. P. Courage, England. Mrs. IT. L. Howden, wife of Commander Howden. who is bringing out one of the new warships for the Ausj tralian Navy, arrived by the Tainui from England on Monday. Mrs. Howden is staying with her sister-in-law.
