, Palmerston v. Napier Dominion Special Service. Palmerston North, December 13. The annual cricket match between the first elevens of the Palmerston;North and Napier Boys’ High Schools was commenced at Palmerston North to-day. Palmerston North batted first and scored 222 runs (Carlisle 60, McVicar 54, and Loudon 32). Bowling for Napier, Palmer took two wickets for 24 runs, Armitage four for 21, Robinson two for three, Mahoney one for 82, and Morrissey one for 59.

Napier hit up 81 runs in their innings. Palmer being the best scorer with 22 runs. Bowling for Palmerston North Spelman took seven wickets for 24 runs, Hatch one for 17, Howard one for 18. and McVicar one for seven. The match will be. concluded to-morrow. FEILDING’S ' EASY WIN Dominion Special Service. / Feilding, December 13. The annual inter-school cricket match, Ilawera Technical High School v. Feilding Agricultural High School, was played to-day, Feilding. scored an easy win. Ilawera Batted first and scored 58 (Kirkby 19, McCoy 16). Bowling for Feilding, Simpson took two wickets for 22 runs, Evans ma, two for seven, Finlay ma. two for four, Huston ma, two for 8, and Illston one for eight. Feilding's innings produced 222. Iljeston, who went in first, carried his bat for 107, the first boy to make a century for the school in the inter-school games. Huston ma. scored 15, Evans, ma. 29, Campbell 25, and Smart 20. Bowling for Hawera, Pauling took four wickets for 35 runs and Gardiner four for 57. In their second innings the Hawera batsmen collapsed, being dismissed for 24.
