SUM OF £lOOO ALLOWED By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, December 13. The Arbitration Court to-day awarded Mrs. Olive Emma Tonkin, of Christchurch, and her child, £lO9O compensation for the death of the former’s husband, Horace John Tonkin, who' was killed in the Hawke's Bay earthquake at Roach’s, Ltd., Hastings, in February, 1931. Several other cases are believed to have been settled out of court.
