AIR PIONEER’S DREAM
Huge Aerodrome in Heart of London MAY BE REALISED By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. (Received December 12, 7 p.m.) ■ London, December 12. A - project, for the construction of a huge aerodrome in the heart of London, in the form of a platform above the Thames between Southwark and Blackfriars bridges, is shortly being introduced to the City Council. The project is on similar lines to those advocated by the famous air pioneer, Air-Commodore Samson, shortly before his death in 1931. The scheme involves passengers ascending by lifts to a platform a quarter of a mile long, and sufficiently high to enable ships to pass beneath.
