The value of fast transport in the detection of crime, which was referred to recently by the Commissioner of Police, was demonstrated in an arrest made by Constables Heeps and Hodge, of Morrinsville, early on Sunday morning. Constable Heeps received a telephone message at about three o’clock from Tahuna, a township 12 miles from Morrinsville, that somebody was on the premises of the Tahuna Supply Store.
