“RIA RAGO”
“Ria Rago,” the first picture produced, photographed and recorded entirely by missionaries to be shown in Wellington, will Ik> exhibited next week. The music is said to be very good, having been written from the motives and songs of the natives, nnd the picture claims to be the first South Sea Island picture ever taken that correctly depicts the life and customs of the natives. The profits are to be devoted to the mission in the Little Sunda Islands, where the picture was produced, and the exhibition of the film in New Zealand is in the hands of an inter-denominational committee.
