TROPHIES PRESENTED

Miniature Rifle Club There was a good attendance of members of the Lower Hutt Ladies Miniature Rifle Club and their friends at Miss Eva Draper's studio on Thursday evening, when a dance was held, and the trophies won during the season were presented by Mrs. W. Nash. Mr 0. Tanner acted as M.C., and Sherwood’s Orchestra provided the music. Extras were played by Mrs. Tanner.

Small pupils of Miss Eva Draper gave an enjoyable exhibition of dancing. The first Monte Carlo was won by Mr. G. H. Stevens and Mrs. A. Hancock, and the second by Mr. W. Hayes and Miss N. Cudney. The following trophies were presented:—“B” Grade: First monthly competition, Mrs. Donkin; second monthly competition and most im-

proved shot,. Mrs. McHolm; third monthly competition and own start handicap (trophy donated by Mr. Theo Richards), Mrs. Cavaye; ruuner-up for “B” grade championship, Mrs. C. Bird. . “C” Grade: First monthly competition, most improved shot in the grade, Ossie Ching Memorial Cup, grade aggregate, trophy donated by Mrs. Ching for most improved shot, Miss B. Calder; second monthly competition and runner-up, Miss M. Fraser; third monthly competition (trophy donated by Lady Roberts), Miss R. Laurance; New Zealand champion, Mrs. Cavaye; club champion, Mrs. Cavaye; secretary’s trophy, Miss Bird. Among those present were Mcsdaraes E. Bird, pink taffetas; McHolm, scarlet lace; 11.
