WELLINGTON EXCHANGE Latest Quotations mho latest buying and selling quotations on the Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday were as follow:—

GOLD-MINING SCRIP Stock Exchange Protest The question of delay on the part of certain gold-mining companies in issuing scrip certificates to shareholders was discussed at a meeting of the Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday. The following resolution was carried unanimously: That the Wellington Stock Exchange enters a strong protest against the unnecessary delay by certain goldmining companies (two of which were named) in issuing scrip certificates to shareholders; and that the committee of the Stock Exchange which listed these companies be asked to remove their names from the Official List of quotations unless certificates, as prescribed in the .listing requirements, are issued at once. The opinion was expressed that it was a waste of time and money in printing the listing requirements if companies, when listed, disregarded the conditions of listing and were permitted to do so by the Stock Exchange which granted listing. Share certificates should be issued promptly, once a company had gone to allotment and the certificates should be for 100 shares, as provided, for in the leqqiremente.
