More Revenue Required
The necessity for raising the budget for the current year to £llOO to carry ou the work was stressed at a meeting of directors of the Young Womens Christian Association this week. Various plans were made for the raising of this amount, the first being the holding of a garden party iu November at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Mitchell, “Casa Loma,” Lower Hutt. Mrs. Robert Gardner presided over a full attendance of the board of directors. and welcomed Lady Poinare, Mesdames R. B. Gibbons, J. C. Webb, A. G. Radford, and Bramwell Scott, all of whom were present for the first time. The election of officers for the year resulted as follows:—President, Mrs. R. Gardner; vice-presidents. Mesdames R. Pearson. F. Wallis. R. .V Wright: recording secretary. Mrs. 11. Anderson; chairmen of committees: Men’s advisorv board. Mr. D. A. Ewen; finance and executive. Mrs. Gardner; membership, Mrs. R. Pearson: girls’ work, Mrs. W. A. Martin; residence, Miss. W. B. Matheson; house. Miss D. Veitch; library, Miss Q. Cowles; cafeteria, Mrs. E, B. Wilson.
