Dissatisfaction Expressed
WESTPORT RESOLUTION

Westport, October 13.
At a largely attended public meeting to inquire into the treatment of nurses in the Buller Hospital and hospital affairs in general, the following, resolution was carried unanimously: “That those present are dissatisfied with the conduct of the board in the recent inquiry, in the action of the board in suppressing the evidence of nurses in support of their evidence in the unfair support given by the board to the matron; and that, in the opinion of the meeting, the present dissatisfaction is caused by the' board’s maladministration and the attitude of the matron; and that the true position should be placed before the Minister of Health nt a meeting called by the deputy-mayor in response to a petition containing 2000 names.”
