Uruguay’s Bid for Trade
WOOL BARTER PROPOSAL

Tokio, October 13.
The special Uruguayan mission which recently arrived to attempt to obtain an agreement to supplant Australian wool in the Japanese markets probably will be proposing a reciprocal trade agreement, accepting Japanese manufactures in exchange for wool. Uruguay recently opened a legation in Tokio and elaborately entertained at luncheon the Foreign Vice-Minister and 70 leading business men.
