MAGIC OF OTAKI AIR

Children’s Health Camp

LETTERS OF APPRECIATION

There is no doubt that there is magic in the air of Otaki. One has only to peruse the letters written by parents of children who have spent a period at the Health Camp to realise this, the continued existence of which is now being made. Most of -these letters have been written to the matron, who has forwarded them on to the secretary of the Camp Committee, Mr. C. Meachen, of the St John Ambulance Association. “I am sorry you miss me at breakfast time,” wrote one little S lrl > j miss you too very much, and I shall always have a loving remembrance pt my stay in camp, as you were all so kind to me, and I was so happy there. , “Arthur arrived home quite safe, ■wrote a parent of Moturoa, “and I need not tell you how happy I was to have him home again. I see a wonderful change in him, and I pray that he will go ahead now. I don t think he will ever forget you. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for the great care and attention you must have given our boy.”

Another (Wellington) wrote: “X wish to thank you for the wonderful care that you have t a * en of my little girl. She is quite a different child in every way. I have never seen her look so well, and it is a pleasure to see her after the years of sickness I have nursed her through. “I must tell you that Valerie cried the next day (following her arrival back home), wanting to go back to the camp. Tbpt speaks well for the treatment they receive there. I must sdy she has not looked so well for years. This letter came from Dannevirke. Another Wellington mother wrote to the matron as follows: —* C— — rived yesterday. We were delighted to see her looking so well. I can honestly say she has never had such rosy cheeks before, and is ever so much fatter.” These are typical of a score of other letters received by the matron testifying in glowing terms to the virtues of the Otaki air and the camp s J st e™An effort is now being made to get IUOU members of I the association at fl per annum (1/6 per month). APPEAL FOR FUNDS Health Postage Stamps The Wellington Children's Health Camp Association is determined carry on with its work al£ the children, and special efforts are being put into effect to raise funds for tte camp.
