Plunket Queen Benefits
There was a large attendance at a bridge party given recently at College House, Palmerston North Boys’ High School, organised by Mrs. John Murray, wife of the rector, in the interests of the Plunket queen, Miss Joan Barnett. The rooms were deeorated with flowers of Miss Barnett’s colours, red and green, and looked most attractive. A competition was won by Mrs. E. G. Bennett, and prize-winners 'at■'bridge were: Mrs. Rabone, highest score; and Mrs. L. Laurenson, hidden number. Colonel J. H. ’Whyte, on behalf of those present, thanked Mr. and Mrs. Murray for a delightful evening,
