A view from the city end of the first tunnel, showing workmen clearing the entrance, and Mount Victoria in the distance. (2) A scene between the two tunnels in the Ngahauranga Gorge, showing where the main line will run round the base of the hill, and the temporary lines leading to the blacksmiths shop on the left.
