Auckland, October 13. Strong fields are carded for the Avondale Jockey Club’s meeting to-morrow, and the racing promises to be highly interesting. The course has been fast all through the week, but a change in the weather is forecast, and there seems to be a possibility of rain, although it is still fine this evening. Horses likely to be well supported m their engagements include: —

12.10. Maiden .Plate: dood Run, Alpin us. and 'Supreme Ruler. 12.55. High weight Handicap: Ornamental, Tatyoon, and Wee Pat. 1.40. Champion Hack Plate: Gay Sheila, d’Artagnan, and British Columbia. 2.30. Avondale Cup: Carfex, Lord Vai, and All Humbug. 3.20. Avondale Stakes: Whenuakura and Gay Blonde. 1 4.5. Flying Stakes Handicap: Diatomous, Chief Cook, and Puss Moth. 4.50. Swanson Handicap: Cherry King, Gay Br’oney, and Hushing. 5.0. Henderson Handicap: Kiltowyn, Whakapara, and Limex.', As Aubretia and Lady Pandora have been scratched for the Maiden Plate only one more scratching will be required to obviate the necessity of the race being run in divisions.
