Donkin Loses First Fight

In a boxing bout at Waipukurau last night, Henry Donkin (Havelock North), a former provincial amateur representative, fought his first professional bout, being defeated on points in a close contest with Jim Griffin (Takapau), after going the fixed ten rounds. Donkin meets Clarrie Raynor at Blenheim next week.
