Simple Garden Frames
The Garden frame illustrated, is made with one inch by three inch and one inch by four inch timber. It is 4ft. by sft. To make the sash, two pieces of lin. x 4in. are cut five feet long; and two.pieces 4 ft. 4in. These arc assembled, then two pieces of lin. by 3in., five feet long, and one piece 4ft. 61n. nailed over, this, as in the diagram O. Two sash bars are made from a piece of timber lin, by 4in. cut down the centre, and Ilin, strips, lin. thick, are nailed over this as in A. When flnis’'ed, it is glazed and painted. D shows how the frame is made. The plant protector is made from lin. by 12in. dressed timber. It. is 4ft. long by 2ft- wide, and is glazed with IGin. by 16in. glass. This is very useful for protecting and growing plants.
