SAILORS ENTERTAINED
An Enjoyable Concert
Seating accommodation at the British Sailors’ Society’s rooms was taxed to the utmost at the concert given this! week by the pupils of Miss Hazel Martin. Items that were outstanding were the butterfly and soldiers’ ballets, the dressing for which were exquisite, and ,the dancing by these pupils was encored again and again. Items were also contributed by Misses Rangi Carlyle. Alma Longhurst. Karen Austin. Zita Hardie, Jocelyn McDonald. Joy Varden, Joyce Workman, Peggy Bentley, Winnie Ftirby, Joan Wvait. Joan Gregory, Tris Elliott, Colleen Brilham. Aylcen Boat. Betty Paynter. Jill Cain, Esme Carlyle, Margaret Bellmore, Sadie Hayvice. Margaret Palantine, Vera Bellamore, Gladys Tonkins, May Brady, Judy Cooper. Moira Andrews, Patrene Hastings, and Masters Victor Leach and Keith Woollett. Mists Martin was the accompanist. Before the concert started, at the request of the secretary, all stood in silence as a mark of respect for the late Mr. H. E. Holland.
