The United States wheat production this year is estimated at 514,816,000 bushels, and corn at 2,291,398,000 bushels.
Marchers Detained. Twenty-two Dublin unemployed marchers contrived tc enter Ulster on a stormy night. They were detained by the police.
Anti-Fascism Charge. The well-known Italian author and journalist Signor Curzio Sickert has been arrested and charged with antifascist demonstrations abroad. He represented the “Corriere Della Sera” at the Economic Conference.
Bechuanaland Chief. The Dominions Secretary has refused the Bechuanaland chief Tshekedi permission to proceed to England, but suggested that he submit his views on the impending proclamations to his adviser, the Rev Mr. Jennings, and counsel, who sail on Friday to discuss the constitutional points involved in the proclamations.
New Gliding Record. Mr. John Laver, a member of the Dorset Gliding Club, in an officially observed flight, spent 7 hours 22 minutes in the air, establishing a new British gliding record, says a British Official Wireless message. He landed in heavy rain. Visibility was exceedingly low.
