SUCCESS IN ORGANISING
An instance of the value of newspaper publicity in stimulating interest in the formation of a new association was given in Christchurch recently by Mr. D. C. Kidd, president of the South Canterbury provincial executive of the Crown Tenants’ Association, in a speech to farmers, urging them to form a branch of the association. “Much of our success in organising.” he said, “has been due to the generous help given by the press of New Zealand. Reports of our work published in the various newspapers have provoked hundreds of enquiries from interested persons.”
