VISITING DOMINION

Former Wellingtonian

A visitor of interest to old Wellingtonians has lately been the guest of Miss Louise Hall in Wadestown, meeting old friends and exchanging reminiscences. She is Mrs. Carolyn Forsyth, of Rose Bay, Sydney, who was well known here as Miss Lun Watson, a very popular teacher at the Terrace School.

Before her marriage Mrs. Forsyth took a leading part in Wellington amateur theatricals. She was a member of the “Dramatic Students,” and was associated with Mr. Harry Nicolls, Mrs. Fell, and the talented Newton and Letham families. Subsequently, in Auckland, she played and produced for the Lyceum Club, and for many charitable organisations. In Sydney she has produced and played for the Sydney Repertory Society. Mrs. Forsyth’s two sons, now men, live with her, and the younger, Basil, fe a brilliant pianist. At the Pioneer Club recently Mrs. Forsyth entertained a number of her old friends at tea, among whom were Mrs. A. Thomson, Mrs. J. Rennie, Sirs. Little, Mrs. F. Prince, Mrs. Taklo, Mrs. Cate, Misses Louise Hall, Jessie Hall, Sara,Fraser, Agnes Sampson, F. Sampson. E. Townsend, F. Goodson, Newton and Letham.

Mrs. Forsyth is leaving Wellington at the end of the week to stay with her sister-in-law at Oreore, near Raetihi.
