If you aro painting furniture, or an article which has a design or lettering on it, .which you do not want to be marked with paint, spread a thin coat, of melted wax over the lettering or design with a fine brush. Melted candle-wax can be used for the purpose. When the paint is dry you can remove tlio wax by applying a cloth wrung out in boiling water.
