To-morrow afternoon and evening J. C. Williamson. Ltd., will present Ernest C. Rolls’ Company of sixty English, American, and Australian artists in the gigantic and spectacularly beautiful mucical comedy extravaganza, “Bright Side Up. The production has been acclaimed tn Australia and Auckland as the biggest singing, dancing, comedy nnd spectacular musical production which hns been staged in the Commonwealth or New Zealand. During its run of over 10 weeks in Melbourne the management was fined no less than five times for overcrowding, this despite the fact that two daily performances were staged, and then “Bright Side Up” had to be taken off in the very zenith of its success to make room for the Sresentation of another of Ernest C. Alls’ productions. Miss Jennie Benson, the brilliant London comedienne, became extremely popular with playgoers of Auckland, her charming personality and her outstanding art winning them from the first five minutes she appeared before them. Mr. Charles Norman fully maintained his English reputation during his season in Auckland, where he was proclaimed by the Press and public alike as the most genu'nclv humorous musical comedy artist enjoyed there during the past ten years. Miss Rene Rinno is a remarkable talented artist, whether «he is appearing ns nn eccentric comedienne or as a whirlwind dancer, she never fails to arouse the aud'ence to a pitch of enthusiasm. Miss Maio Baird. Mr. Archie Thompson, and Mr. Harry Simmons created a furore in Auckland in their thrilling burlesque on the Spanish tango, nnd so did the brilliant acrobatic dancers, L'Etoile and Laurance, in an exquisite and daring acrobatic feature dance.
