FIELDEN TAYLOR FAIR
Queens Join Forces in Dance A well-attended dance, at which the forces of all four of the Fielden Taylor Fair queens were gathered, was held at the Mayfair Cabaret last night, as part of the carnival festivities, and was an undoubted success. The queens brought parties of dancers, who filled the softly-lit rooms with gaiety and movement. Diversions in the programme were caused by two dances given by pupils of Miss Miriams Heketa, the Mission Queen; two dances by pupils of Miss Kathleen O’Brien; and an exhibition of ballroom dancing by two pupils of Mr. and Mrs. Southern Colledge. This dance has been one of the outstanding features of the fair, and was interesting in view of the united efforts of all parties toward the general fund. To-morrow evening the Wellington Artillery Band will give its services at the fair in the Town Hall, augmenting the programme of tug-of-war, marching pageant and contest. On Saturday evening the successful queen will be crowned, and the fair will close.
