NIGHT DRIVING
“Wear Something White” “Wear something white” is the excellent advice given by a motoring organisation to motorists who drive at night. At speed in the darkness it is often impossible to pick out a dark object on the road, whereas a touch of white about a car enables following motorists to see objects more easily. A good suggestion to the motor owner who is anxious to protect tlie rear of his vehicle is to have a piece of white malerial displayed in a conspicuous position. Should the tail light suddenly go but or become dim this precaution may save a collision. Pedestrians also should remember that It is a wise plan to walk against traffic at night, as any white object, such as a tie, a collar, or a shirt, is picked out by the headlights.
