INFANT’S BODY FOUND
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercargill, September 3. A whitebait fisherman discovered in the Waihopai River yesterday morning the body of a newly-born, fully developed female child. The body was in a white bag and had apparently been in the water less than 24 hours. The child, it. is believed, had breathed. . The matter has been reported to the police and inquiries are now proceeding.
