SUBSIDY PAYMENTS
Should Go to Unemployed Dominion Special Service. Stratford, September 3.. "That the Unemployment Board be asked to make it compulsory to employ unemployed tradesmen on buildings erected under the subsidy scheme,” was a remit carried by the Stratford Farmers’ Union. Speakers alleged that unemployed men were not being employed by certain contractors. The present ojwration of the scheme was diverting funds from the unemployed.
