A points decision was gained by Eddie Parker (12st. 11b.), of Timaru, exheavyweight champion of New Zealand, over Ray Nicol (12st. 71b), of Ohai, heavyweight champion of the Dominion, in a good contest of 15 twomlnute rounds to-night. Parker, who did most of the leading, was quicker than Nicol, and won by a good margin. The title was not involved. Oxley beats McKay Palmerston North, September 1. Ted Oxley (Pahiatua) defeated Johnny McKay (Gisborne) in a 12round contest at Pahiatua to-night, in the presence of a large crowd. The bout went the full distance, Oxley winning on points.
