THE GOBLINS AND THE SCARECROW
“Good evening, sir," the Goblin said; "Good evening, sir, I say.” The scarf crow not answer him, But looked the other way.
"I’m sura, you are a stranger here," The little goblin cried; "Perhaps you are a trifle deaf— I’ll try th 6 other side."
"I hope you like the neighbourhood—” Fo louder could he shriek,, But still thp scarecrow did not move. And neither did he speak.
"I’ll leave you now,” the goblin said, "You're very rude I think." The scarecrow only stared and stared, He did not even blink. —“Happy Hiker,” Masterton.
