Definite Signs Evident in Australian Cities LEADING DRAPER’S VISIT Dominion Special Service. .. Auckland, August 27. That there are definite signs o£ recovery in Australia was stated by business men aboard the Mariposa. Mr. C. Lloyd Jones, managing director" of David Jones Limited, Sydney, said the signs of recovery noted in Australia were reflected in better business. Retail trade was showing improvement. Mr. Jones said he would like to see the Australian National Travel Association, of which he was chairman, and the New Zealand Tourist Department working in co-operation for the development of travel in Australia and New Zealand. Mr. N. E. Stitt, of Sydney, representative in Australia and New Zealand for the Burroughs Adding Machine Company, said that business in Australia was showing an improvement in the right way. There had been steady progress for months, and the outlook was very hopeful.
